In the wake of Trayvon Martin's killer being cleared of all charges, I am convinced more than ever that certain people will never be able to look past this skin "color". Do you blame them though? we blame people like; the killers of Lee Rigby, the killers of over 20 school students in Yobe state, the ones who free corrupt men and cold blooded killers and the "man" who never had a shoe but has dedicated his life to acquiring millions of them at the expense of innocent blood. These "colored" men who continue to give the world the impression that violence and corruption in itself should be tied 95% of the time to the "colored" man.
It is quite obvious that not all, but a good number of the white population do not share in the sentiments of those who believe that Zimmerman is guilty and should have been put away, after all, two black guys of "Nigerian Descent" Killed a white soldier in the most gruesome way in Britain (and we all condemned it!) but we all know how they don't joke with their soldiers! But then again, do you blame them though? when the "colored" man continues to take advantage of and abuse immigration laws, He continues to seek the easy way out of everything, He wants access to benefits that were not put in place for him, a common mentality in the parts of the world where "he" is the majority! a mentality induced by an enduring corrupt government which continues to deteriorate every second with no signs of improvement! I know now more than ever that people will 80% of time, never be able to look past the skin color till the world ends. For instance, ever since the gruesome killing of the British soldier, attitudes towards people of African descent in the UK has been rather weird; from the way they move aside when they see you coming, to the way you could literarily smell their fear (or something like that) of you. In the past if you had serious health issues that you considered life threatening at the time (even though you re not a doctor), you could call 999 and you'll get the help you need and most times they sent a nurse over or even an ambulance (i know this because I've experienced it first hand), but now however, it is not the case. By the time you get past the question of "of what descent are you?" your case has pretty much been decided, if you cant get yourself to the hospital at the time, just forget it (this happened to a friend of mine). I ask again, do you blame them though? in a place like Nigeria for instance, "wu dash you" an actual national emergency line, that you could actually call and the doc. at the other end or whoever would actually know what they were talking about? who would send you a nurse of even an ambulance for anything? and then you, the same "colored" man from that same country wants to go to the U.States and take advantage of medicaid and give birth and not want to pay for the delivery? why do we continue to give the world this unpleasant image of a people with no morals? i know bad leaders. Change however has to start from somewhere, if it starts with you and I, its not a bad idea you know....
Back to these recent events though; can you compare the strength of a 17 year old child (Trayvon), armed with a candy and a bottle of soda to that of a 29 year old man (Zimmerman) armed with a gun? God rest the boy's soul,but who am i to question the justice system of a country that huge when the justice system in my own country is a joke and non existence? or can we compare the strength of a dozen men armed with guns, to a couple of kids and their teacher armed with pencils and a chalk respectively? or can we compare the strength of a "king" in kirikiri to that of a helpless woman killed?
Regardless of all these brouhaha and the shortcomings of the "colored" man though;
1). a person is a person regardless of whatever descent their from.
2). A crime is a crime and should be treated as such without the color of "this skin"coming into play
3). The colored man with the mentality of taking advantage of others, needs to change his mindset cos the efforts of the truly upright and hardworking ones goes unnoticed because the nature of man often times dwell on the mistakes of one man and forgets the good others have done.
4). They have to wipe out all these old men trying to ruin Nigeria as in literarily wipe them out!!!
And lastly, as far as I am concerned, Trayvon did not get justice, Lee Rigby did not get justice, the victims of the plane crashes in Nigeria did not get justice, Kudirat Abiola did not get justice, those killed by religious extremist did not get justice, all those that have lost their lives because of all the bad roads, poor health systems and what not, did not get any justice!! the sad part of all of this is that they probably never will...
Straight to the heart!!!
ReplyDeleteFact!!!!
ReplyDeleteBasically, its a system where no one gets justice! May God help us and touch the hearts of our leaders and if they refuse to change may they all be swallowed up by the earth! Gram!!
